Balloon décor is used to add spirit to many a party or event, like weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, baby showers or corporate events. Some companies specialise in balloon décor and may make up displays or décor to your specification and budget. Balloons may be clustered and made up into various shapes and forms. Arches are often created at entrances to welcome people and draw them in. Imposing centre piece displays of floating balloons may add to the visual impact of your event and column displays may be perfect to draw attention to a specific area. Balloon sculptures are even more imaginative and may be designed to resemble a flag, a company logo, a balloon cloud, balloon trees, a heart or almost anything else, space and money permitting. Alternatively, balloons may be used on a smaller scale only, to add a little life and movement to a room, or to every table at a wedding reception. Specialised balloons may be manufactured for a specific purpose and these may adopt almost any shape or size. They could represent people or animals and may be printed in many colours to add authenticity to the design. Other balloon décor ideas may be to have branded and printed balloons as part of a corporate marketing effort – several companies can personalise display materials such as balloons in this way. If a long-lasting, multi-day display is required, traditional latex or rubber balloons may not suffice, as they lose their air or helium (and, consequently, their buoyancy) gradually through diffusion after a day or two. Different balloons are required for this type of display; these may be either traditional balloons that are treated on the inside to resist diffusion, or balloons made from another non-porous material such as thin foil. However, these types of balloons are more expensive. |
