Printed balloons may make excellent marketing material or add a personal touch to any event. A special message, a company logo or an event name or graphic may be printed on balloons that are displayed by their hundreds. Balloon printing has become a useful way to extend the use and appeal of what is already a cheap way of advertising. When printed balloons are required, the client should ensure that he knows the procedure stipulated by the balloon supplier. The balloon supplier would require the printing design. The printing may only be done in a single colour, or in more than one colour at additional cost. The colours of the balloons should be chosen in order to show off the printing to best effect on all the colours of balloons due to be used. Normally, there are many different ink colours to choose from. Balloons are cheap, but the printing may add significant cost. However, it is still one of the most cost-effective forms of advertising and if the client orders more balloons, the unit printing costs will be lower. The balloon supplier would also stipulate a minimum number of balloons if they are to be printed. They would also require a set number of days to finish all the printed balloons, usually between four and ten days. However, certain suppliers may offer a “rush service” at a premium. Screens are made for the design to be printed and this screen is then applied to every balloon by direct ink transfer. This results in an even ink distribution and good quality. Here are examples of balloon printing:
